The Queen competed in RuPaul's Drag Race UK series one and has since appeared on Celebrity X Factor, Celebrity Master Chef, Ackley Bridge and played Margaret Thatcher in Prince Andrew: The Musical. The 2025 event will take place on the August bank holiday weekend, on Saturday, August 23. It will include a march starting at 14:00 as well as stalls, speeches, entertainment and family-friendly fun.
Organiser Matt Scott said: "The Reaction every year is amazing, and we keep getting bigger and bigger." This year, they are hoping to double the number of stalls from last year and include food stands along Pauls Row, which will be closed during the event following sponsorship from HWBIDco. The entertainment will be hosted by Drag Queen Luna Cortez, winner of The Queen of Clapham.
The singer and performer has taken part in High Wycombe Pride every year since it began. Last year, the fire brigade brought a fire engine with them, and Matt explained how the emergency services have expanded their turnout and support for the event year on year. He said: "Come and attend, it is not just about a party, it is about equality and diversity, local community and local businesses." High Wycombe Pride asks people to bring their rainbow flags, best outfits and enthusiasm to show the world how proud they are.
They hope the stalls will highlight local businesses, LGBTQ+ organisations and community groups, they will be selling souvenirs and offering information on support services. High Wycombe Pride is supported by many organisations including O’Neill’s and the Wycombe Swan. They said: "We are incredibly grateful for the support of these organisations, and we encourage everyone to show their appreciation for their continued commitment to making High Wycombe an inclusive and welcoming town for all.
"It’s going to be a day filled with laughter, love, and community spirit — one you won’t want to miss. "Don’t forget to bring your pride, your smiles, and your enthusiasm, and join us as we make history together." For more information, head to their Facebook page.
