Upcoming film “Virus” (literal title) has unveiled a sneak peek of Bae Doona ’s character! “Virus” tells the story of Taek Seon (Bae Doona), who is infected with a deadly virus that makes people fall in love for no reason. She embarks on an unexpected journey with three men: researcher Soo Pil ( Son Suk Ku ), former classmate Yeon Woo ( Jang Ki Ha ), and Lee Kyun ( Kim Yun Seok ), the only expert capable of developing a cure. Taek Seon dreams of being a novelist but soon realizes she lacks the talent.
She becomes a translator, spending her days working with other people’s words. Depressed and losing interest in romance, her life takes a dramatic turn when she contracts the Toxo Virus. Overnight, she transforms into someone who falls in love with everything around her, becoming a love-at-first-sight type.
Bae Doona is expected to skillfully capture Taek Seon’s emotional shifts from a tired, blank expression to one filled with love and passion. She will also share strong on-screen chemistry with Kim Yun Seok, Jang Ki Ha, and Son Suk Ku, driving the film forward. Bae Doona said, “Before the infection, Taek Seon’s shy and distrustful nature resembles my real personality.
” She added, “Expressing the emotions caused by the Toxo Virus, which can’t be controlled rationally, was a big challenge.” Kim Yun Seok, who worked with Bae Doona, praised her as “an actress with a thousand faces, sometimes like an innocent child and other times like a mature woman in love.” Director Kang Yi Kwan also commended her, saying, “She perfectly captured the symptoms of the Toxo Virus with just her imagination and acting, not CGI.
