The first pictures of a mum and her daughter, 8, killed in a Mayo crash on Tuesday night have been released as tributes poured in from the public. Aisling Moore and her daughter Abbigael Moore-Tournié lost their lives following a collision between a car and a lorry on the N26 in Lismoran, Foxford, Co Mayo, at approximately 5.45pm on Tuesday, July 2.

Gardai are continuing to investigate the fatal road traffic collision, with the road reopening following an examination. With post-mortem examinations arranged for Ms Moore and her child, Gardai are continuing to appeal for any witnesses to come forward. They said in a statement: ‘Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the N26 between Swinford and Foxford between 5pm and 6pm on Tuesday evening are asked to provide this footage to Gardai.



‘Anyone with information is asked to contact Ballina Garda Station at 096 20560, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station. Investigations are ongoing.’ Leading the tributes to Ms Moore and Abbigael on social media was Kiltimagh GAA Club, where Abbigael played for the U-10s team.
