Ava Baker, Riley Hine lead offensive explosion as Mifflin County tops Cedar Cliff

Mifflin County racked up the hits on Wednesday afternoon, recording 17 knocks and five extra-base trips, as the Huskies defeated Cedar Cliff 18-8 on the road. • Sign up for PennLive’s daily high school sports newsletter Ava Baker had huge afternoon offensively, as the catcher launched a big fly and went 3-for-4 with three RBIs. Riley Hine also was key for Mifflin County, leading off and going 4-for-5 with three RBIs and four runs scored.

Malaina Maxwell added three hits and three RBIs, while Carly Dickson and Falynn Reinard added two hits as well. Jalee Bodtorf drove in three runs. Cedar Cliff saw two players launch homers in the loss, as Brooke Capozzoli and Alaina Tarnocci both went yard.
