Anthony Albanese, Prime Minster of Australia, recently announced a a ban on social media platforms for children under 16 years old. The decision initially explained that it was due to these platforms causing mental health issues. In his follow-up video, Australia PM Anthony Albanese addressed the parents and said, "Too often, social media isn't social at all.

And we all know that." He said that social media platforms had been harming the country's children. He said that parents, teachers, counsellors, and young people should take action.
