Two Auburn firefighters will talk about the evolution of their equipment, responsibilities, training and more over the years at the next edition of an Owasco museum's history series. Firefighters Timothy Stevens and Brian Jessie will present "How Fighting Today's Fires is Such a Challenge" at 6 p.m.
Thursday, Feb. 13, at the Emerson Park Pavilion in Owasco. The talk is part of the Ward W.
O'Hara Agricultural & Country Living Museum's Martha Shaw Harvesting History Series. Along with equipment, responsibilities and training, Stevens and Jessie will discuss new types of fires they face with new building materials, electric cars and solar panels. Admission and parking will be free and open to the public, and donations will be welcome.
