Father of Bengaluru techie Atul Subhash, Pawan Kumar Modi, has expressed concerns over the whereabouts of his grandson, saying that the family is worried about him. This came hours after police arrested Atul's wife Nikita Singhania, her mother Nisha and brother Anurag for abetting the suicide of the AI engineer who killed himself on December 9 alleging harassment by them. Modi thanked the police for arresting Nikita and her family members in the abetment to suicide case while speaking with news agency ANI.

"We don't know where she has kept our grandson. Has he been killed, or is he alive? We don't know anything about him. I want my grandson to be with us," he said.

"I thank the police and law enforcement. At least they have been arrested," Modi said. The family has also decided not to immerse his ashes till they get justice in the alleged fake cases against Atul.

"We have brought his ashes. We are religious, but we will not immerse his ashes till we get justice." Modi alleged, adding that the Jaunpur family court judge was corrupt and demanding bribes from him.

"She asked him for money. He was not someone who would pay bribes. He was ready to pay a penalty, but never bribe.

" The elderly man started crying while speaking to the reporters on Sunday, saying that he had never seen his grandson. The child was born in 2020 and Nikita and Atul separated the next year, an NDTV story stated. "We appeal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav to ensure we get our grandson.

I have only seen him on video calls and never held him close. For a grandfather, his grandson is more special than his son," the visibly shattered man said. Atul's brother Vikas, who was present with his father, echoed the family's concerns about the whereabouts of his brother's son.

"The biggest concern at present is to know about the son of my brother. I want to thank Karnataka Police for arresting three persons. Some arrests are pending according to our complaint.

We hope it will happen soon," he told the news agency. Atul Subash, an engineer working with an automobile company, hanged himself at his Bengaluru apartment over alleged harassment and mental torture by his wife and her family. He accused his estranged wife, Nikita, along with her mother, Nisha Singhania, her brother, Anurag Singhania, and her uncle, Sushil Singhania, of harassment and extortion.

He claimed that Nikita had filed false cruelty charges against him and his family and demanded Rs 3 crore to resolve the matter..
