Two men have been arrested following an incident that saw armed police swarm Guisborough . Posts on social media said that armed officers were seen at various areas in the town throughout the day on Wednesday, October 16. Cleveland Police said they attended following a reported incident on Union Street at around 10.
10am. Police confirmed that no-one was injured in the incident. The force has now cofirmed that several arrests have been made.
A 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and a 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder. Additionally, two women aged 52 and 29 have also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. All remain in police custody at this time.
