Delhi is set to get a new Chief Minister as senior AAP leader and current cabinet minister, Atishi , is expected to take oath today. This leadership change follows the prohibition from holding any office for Arvind Kejriwal by the Supreme Court in connection with the the alleged Delhi liquor scam, marking a significant political shift in the capital. Atishi is the third woman chief minister of Delhi after Sushma Swaraj of the BJP and Sheila Dikshit of the Congress party.

The saffron party had filed complaints with the Election Commission and Delhi's chief electoral officer against AAP for allegedly making "derogatory" statements and distributing pamphlets asking voters to take money from BJP and Congress, but vote for the ruling party in Delhi.
