Julia Natitus got off to a fast start to the track and field season. In a meet against Crestwood, Natitus set school records in the 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles. Julia Natitus got off to a fast start to the track and field season. In a meet against Crestwood, Natitus set school records in the 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles. She finished the 100 hurdles in 14.

I had already broken the record in a scrimmage so I knew I had to run the same times to make it official. After you set the first record, were you thinking about the second: Definitely. After the first one, I was so excited.

You have all that adrenaline, now I had to go get the second one. What did it feel like when you found out you set two: It was really great. Just to set it so early in the season.

To get two PRs so early is exciting. It sets me up for the rest of the year. Did you set any goals heading into the season: The goal is to make it to states and medal in the 300 or 100 hurdles and just stay consistent.

Getting to know Julia Natitus Year: Sophomore Hometown: Dallas Age: 16 What are your hobbies outside of school: Running. I like to weight lift and do all kinds of physical activities. How would you describe yourself: I try to be outgoing.

I’m a very positive person. I try to stay humble and encourage others. Favorite food: My mom’s steak.

Dream vacation would be to: Clearwater, Florida. What are your pre-game rituals: Eating Swedish Fish and having a positive mindset. I imagine my races and try to get into a little space where it’s quiet and think about my races.

Your dream prom date: Chase Stokes. Favorite subject in school: Math What is your most embarrassing moment: My seventh grade year, the first time I was in front of my high school coaches I was working on the 300 hurdles. All the hurdlers were watching and my foot got caught and I fell on my face.

The one thing nobody knows about you until now: When I was little, I used to want to be a singer. I would record myself singing to see if I was good or not. The team is coming over for dinner, what are you making: Eggs Favorite TV show: “Yellowjackets” Favorite movie: “The Notebook” If you could pick one person to run against, who are you picking: Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone In the future, Julia would like to: Attend college and continue to run track at the Division I level.

She wants to major in physical therapy..
