Assam: Cleanliness Drive Underway Ahead Of Karbi Aron Barim Amei

Villagers of Taralangso have voluntarily come forward to extend their helping hand, cleaning their households, streets, and public spaces to welcome attendees.

A massive cleanliness drive is underway across all roads leading to Taralangso ahead of the much awaited "Karbi Aron Barim Amei", which happens to be the largest religious gathering of the Karbi community. The grand event is scheduled to be held on 19th April in Assam's Karbi Anglong region. The congregration is organized to honour Aron Barim - the ancestral spiritual tradition of the Karbis and this grand celebration is expected to draw thousands of delegates and visitors.

A rigorous sanitation drive has been mobilized under the supervision of Mohan Sing Tisso, Chairman of the Agriculture Board, KAAC. Tuliram Ronghang, the Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, gave the directives for this initiative so as to maintain clean surroundings and a welcoming atmosphere. In an exemplary display of community participation, villagers of Taralangso have voluntarily come forward to extend their helping hand, cleaning their households, streets, and public spaces to welcome attendees.



The locals have been working in tandem with the authorities, demonstrating their collective spirit ahead of the historic event. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will grace the event as its chief guest, highlighting the cultural and religious importance of the festival..
