Assam: Beef thrown in Bhairav Mandir during Bihu sparks outrage; Fakhruddin arrested

Police Appeal for Peace Given the sensitive nature of the incident, law enforcement agencies and community leaders have appealed to the public to maintain calm and not fall prey to provocation. “We are treating the case with utmost seriousness and request everyone to allow the law to take its course,” a police official stated. As per state regulations, beef cannot be sold or served in restaurants, hotels, public gatherings, or religious places. Police arrested three individuals in that case and rescued six horses that were brought in for slaughter.
