ASR Police Destroy Cannabis Crops on 15 Acres of Forest Land

: The Alluri Sitaram Raju (ASR) district police have destroyed cannabis plants growing across 15 acres of forest land in Jadiguda, Manbangi Panchayat of Pedabayalu mandal, on Sunday. The operation, carried out under the direction of District Superintendent of Police Amit Bardar, was executed through coordinated efforts of the Revenue Department, Forest Department, and Police. The illegal plantation was initially identified using drone surveillance technology.

Speaking to the , Pedabayalu SI Ramana confirmed that the cannabis crops were destroyed and burned on site. "The Forest Department will be registering a case against those responsible for encroaching on forest land for illegal cultivation," he stated. Police officials have warned of strict legal action against individuals involved in such illegal activities and are intensifying their focus on both cannabis transportation and cultivation in the region.
