By . ASR Africa has conferred the Abdul Samad Rabiu Achievers Award to 40 mentees who completed its three-month programme at the Al-Qalam University, Katsina State. The initiative, designed to empower final-year students, concluded with a closeout ceremony on the university campus.
The mentorship programme focused on three key areas; career development, personal growth, and entrepreneurship. Through hands-on training and experience-sharing, the mentors provided insights to help the mentees navigate real-world challenges. Nair Musa Yauri, lauded the Chairman of BUA Group and ASR Africa, Alhaji Abdul Samad Rabiu, for his continuous support for tertiary institutions across Nigeria. Prof. Yauri acknowledged the N250 million ASR Africa Tertiary Education Grant (TEGS) awarded to the university for the 2022/2023 academic year, crediting it with enhancing the quality of education at the institution.
He also expressed gratitude to ASR Africa for organising the mentorship programme, stating that it had equipped the students with the necessary tools to unlock their full potential. In his remarks, the Managing Director/CEO of ASR Africa, Dr. Ubon Udoh, expressed appreciation to Al-Qalam University for providing the platform to impact the lives of the students.
