Asda issues unwelcome warning to shoppers and says 'sorry to tell you'

Asda shoppers are being left in despair - as a popular hot chocolate is "no longer on sale" in stores. Asda has discontinued its popular OMV instant hot chocolate range, in a brutal blow for vegan shoppers and those who follow eco-friendly diets. Asda shoppers are angry over the product being unavailable.

Lorraine Weller, tweeted Asda's customer service team on Thursday asking: "Hi, can you please tell me whether there are any plans to bring back your OMV instant hot chocolate? You were the only supermarket to do their own brand." The supermarket confirmed the product's discontinuation on X, responding: "Hi there, I am sorry to tell you that the hot chocolate has been discontinued and is no longer on sale in our stores." A gushing review online explains: "I don't usually drink hot chocolate but this, this was exceptional.

"Just makes a quite thick, sweet drink. No flavour at all although my partner says she thinks she can detect a hint of caramel. On the upside it is brown," another said.
