Morrisons, Asda and Aldi have slashed the price of vegetables to help families feast over the Easter weekend. Across the handful of major UK supermarkets, shoppers will be able to get their hands on bags of carrots, potatoes, broccoli and parsnips at just 8p. It’s thought the move could help many households this bank holiday, following the rise of energy bills and council tax rates at the beginning of April.

So if you’re hosting family and friends for Easter or fancy cooking a roast dinner without causing too much damage to your bank account, here is where you can get some of the cheapest vegetables this weekend. Asda has announced price reductions to its key Easter veg lines which will roll back to 8p from April 15 to April 21, to support families with the big Easter weekend shop. The 8p offer on five key Easter veg lines is accessible to all shoppers – no member pricing or need for a loyalty card.



Available in-store and online while stocks last, customers will be able get 1kg carrots, one swede, 360g broccoli, 500g parsnips and 2kg potatoes for just 8p each on Rollback. All Asda veg included in the offer is as follows: Aldi shoppers can also hop to these cheap vegetable prices with the ‘Easter Super Six’ offer, in stores from April 15 to April 19, and until April 20 in Scotland. Aldi’s ‘Easter Super Six’ vegetables, including 8p broccoli are: Meanwhile, Morrisons has cut the price of its British seasonal veg range this week for its More Card holders, with roast veg favourites from spring carrots to roasties included in the offer from April 14 until April 20.
