OUR CORRESPONDENT : The National Health Mission (NHM) in Arunachal Pradesh, in collaboration with Wadhwani AI, launched a groundbreaking initiative to enhance healthcare delivery across the state. The event, held at a city hotel on Thursday, marked a significant step toward integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into the . NHM mission director Marge Sora, in his address, highlighted the importance of adopting AI-driven solutions to improve healthcare service delivery.
Chief programme officer of Wadhwani AI Dr Neeraj Agarwal reiterated the organisation’s commitment to strengthening Arunachal Pradesh’s healthcare system. He emphasised that AI-powered predictive insights and efficient diagnostics could revolutionise healthcare services, particularly in remote and underserved areas. The event brought together government officials, healthcare professionals from five districts, and Wadhwani AI representatives to discuss the role of technology in addressing critical healthcare challenges.
Key areas of focus included early diagnosis, timely referral, data-driven healthcare management, and improved accessibility, especially in rural regions. The newly launched are set to be deployed in five selected districts of Papumpare, Longding, Tirap, Namsai, and West Siang as part of the first phase. These AI solutions include vulnerability mapping for TB (VMTB), Prediction of Adverse TB Outcome (PATO), and Cough Against TB (CAT) to enhance early screening, diagnosis, and management of tuberculosis.
