Arrests made as man fighting for his life after 'disturbance'

A man was left fighting for his life after a “disturbance” around a pub over the weekend.

A man is fighting for his life following a 'disturbance'. Police placed a cordon around The Swan Pub on Tottington Road, Woolfold following the incident on Saturday night. Officers have confirmed that arrests have been made.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "On Saturday 16 November at around 11.30pm we received a report of a disturbance on Tottington Road in Bury. “Officers attended and located a man in his late 40s who was taken to hospital with serious injuries, he remains there for treatment to what is believed to be life-threatening injuries.

Another eyewitness said that they saw forensic officers at the pub in the early hours of this morning.
