Arokodare has scored seven goals in 11 league appearances for the Smurfs this season. Despite his impressive form for the Belgian Pro League side, the 23-year-old has been snubbed by the national team selectors.

The forward however declared that he will continue working hard to earn a call-up to the Super Eagles. “For the national team, I know that I have to play in a major competition in the long term. If a Nigerian striker scores three times in the Premier League or the Bundesliga, I know that I have to score at least eight times to have a chance of being called up,” he told De Standard.

“It would be great to wear the shirt of my country. If the national coach does not call me up, I still have a club to focus on.” Related Topics: Arokodare Super Eagles Don't Miss NPFL: Boboye reacts to Sunshine Stars’ tough win over Nasarawa United You may like Super Eagles striker, Victor Boniface survives ghastly car accident EPL: It’s not professional – Silva slams Libyan authorities over treatment of two Super Eagles stars EPL: Santo provides update on Super Eagles duo after Libya nightmare NPFL: Former Super Eagles forward, Ideye set to join Rivers United ‘A crazy situation’ – Ejuke recounts horrible experience with Super Eagles in Libya Labbadia gives reasons for rejecting Super Eagles job Advertise About Us Contact Us Privacy-Policy Terms Copyright © Daily Post Media Ltd.
