Arnott’s reveals Australia’s favourite biscuits for 2024

A whopping 98 per cent of Australian households purchased at least one packet of Arnott’s biscuits this year , which equates to about eight billion bikkies in total. The brand has officially revealed its top biscuits sold for the year, and it’s clear that Aussies have made their favourites known.

So what was the biscuit crowned Australia’s favourite for 2024? Drumroll please. The Original Tim Tam , the beloved chocolate biscuit, once again took out the top spot. This year the iconic treat also celebrated its 60th birthday.



More than 2.8 million households indulged in the classic Tim Tam Original. It was also the biscuit that saw the most repeat purchases, cementing its place as the most loyal and loved product in the Arnott’s range.

Australia’s Top 10 Favourite Arnott’s Biscuits in 2024 The results reveal that Australian biscuit lovers continue to have a deep fondness for the classic flavours. In total, Australians purchased over 300 million packets of Arnott’s biscuits in 2024, equating to a mind-blowing eight billion individual biscuits. To put that into perspective, that’s about 1,500 times the number of tickets sold for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour and more than four times the number of people who watched the Paris 2024 Olympic Opening Ceremony. 2024 was also a big year for Arnott’s commitment to local agriculture.

The company used approximately 80,000 metric tonnes of locally grown Australian flour in its biscuit production, supporting Australian farmers and contributing to the local economy.
