Patrick Schwarzenegger is eager to become a dad as wedding bells are set to ring in the near future. The 31-year-old son of Hollywood icon Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver , popped the question to model Abby Champion, 27, last December. He now admits he has huge family aspirations as he prepares to tie the knot.

"It's up to Abby," he confessed. "I mean, with her work right now, she's so busy and stuff." He gushed with readiness: "(So) I don't know (about timings) but I would have kids tomorrow if I could," while admitting that the timing ultimately rests on Abby's shoulders.

The rising star, also gearing up for a role in the hit show White Lotus , elaborated on his wedding plans while speaking to People Magazine. He revealed that despite the plans being in place, the pair's busy schedule has meant it's a case of "slowly but surely". The star has been away in Thailand for seven months filming The White Lotus, so he confessed to very little being done on the planning front.

Patrick revealed he is keen to let Abby take the reins on their special day's planning and continued to say he is just there to help out in any way possible to make her special day go perfectly. In keeping with his laid-back approach, Patrick recently confided in GQ about his supportive stance when it comes to making decisions for the big day: "As I've learned, the role is just to make sure that she's happy, just whatever she wants to do." Ensuring Abby has her dream wedding is clearly his top priority, as he continued: "I'm happy to give my opinion on things, and otherwise I'm just there to support her and make it so that she has the best day that she wants.

That's really my job." The star has extended gratitude towards Abby and his well-known relatives for propelling him towards his latest gig in the new season of White Lotus, disclosing to the publication: "It's something that me and my family and Abby (watched) each and every Sunday when it was out for the first and second season, especially during Covid." He also shared that during the show airing, he was often asked why hadn't he auditioned for the show, with everyone insisting he would be the perfect fit.

Eventually, the actor expressed his determination when finally receiving an opportunity: "Finally, when I got the audition for this, it was like, 'Okay, I got to nail this. I got to get this.'".
