By Janarjan Khatri, Sarlahi, Jan.1: Inspector (INS) of the Armed Police Inspector (Inspector) Bijaya Kumar Tuladhar died after being hit by a passenger bus in Sarlahi. According to the District Police Office, Sarlahi, the 42-year-old Armed Police Inspector Tuladhar, who was talking in phone in front of his office Armed Police Force Border Out Post (BOP), was run over by a local bus (Province 01-006 Kha 2004) en route from Chhatauna to Balara of Sarlahi districton Tuesday night.
District Police Office Sarlahi Spokesperson and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Deepak Shrestha said that Tuladhar was declared dead by the medical doctor upon arrival at the provincial hospital in Malangwa. According to DSP Shrestha, Inspector Tuladhar of Swoyambhu, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-15, was employed at BOP Chhatauna located in Balara Municipality-9, at the time of the accident. The body of the deceased Tuladhar has been kept at the provincial hospital in Malangwa for post-mortem.
The driver and co-driver of the bus were safe even though the bus was overturned. There were no other passengers on the bus. Both the driver and co-driver of the bus have been detained by the police.
Upon receiving the news of the accident, a team including Chief District Officer of Sarlahi Gopal Kumar Adhikari, Superintendent of Police Rabindra Bahadur Singh, Superintendent of Armed Police Binodraj Khanal reached the spot and returned late after the accident.
