” Arjun said, “I started seeking therapy...

The depression and therapy part started happening last year...

I didn’t know if I was depressed or not; I just knew something wasn’t working...

My life was in the public eye, and I found myself watching others’ work and wondering, ‘Will I be able to, or will I get a chance?’ I have never been a bitter or negative person, but it started festering inside me in a strange way...

I started therapy and went to a couple of therapists who didn’t work out, which left me confused again. Finally, I found someone who really allowed me to open up. She diagnosed me with mild depression at that time, which she described as circumstantial.

” What is Hashimoto’s Disease? According to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), Hashimoto’s disease is an autoimmune disorder that can lead to hypothyroidism, or an underactive thyroid. In some cases, it can also cause hyperthyroidism, or an overactive thyroid. The NIDDK explains that thyroid hormones regulate the body’s energy usage, affecting nearly every organ — including influencing heart rate.
