Arjo Atayde Reveals Something About Judy Ann Santos

Actor-politician Arjo Atayde revealed something about soap opera queen Judy Ann Santos in a recent interview. Arjo started his career in showbiz during the time when Judy Ann was already a queen in the entertainment industry. Growing up, Arjo witnessed Judy Ann’s career and he shared something about the seasoned actress.

Arjo is set to share the same frame with Judy Ann in The Bagman which also features award-winning actor John Arcilla. This project is a collaboration between Nathan Studios owned by Arjo’s family, ABS-CBN Studios, Dreamscape, and Rein Entertainment. He revealed that when director Shugo Praico was conceptualizing this project, it was really Judy Ann who was in his mind and they are happy that the award-winning actress said yes to this. Upon learning that Judy Ann agreed with this, he felt goosebumps. “ Every hair in my body was standing, sabi ko, ‘Oh, my God! Parang nag-360 [degrees turn] na ang aking karera’,” he said.

Then, the actor-politician shared that when he was younger, he would act out Judy Ann’s role in the series Esparanza . Arjo’s mom veteran actress Sylvia Sanchez was included in the said series. He shared that he would read the script and pretend that he was portraying Judy Ann’s role.

“ Sabi ni Mommy, ‘Ba’t mo kinokopya, pambabae ang script na ‘yan. But I understood it as drama so I was mimicking or copying siguro back in the days, ” he enthused. From that, he eventually had the chance to portray different roles, and now he will have a project with the soap opera queen.
