Actor-turned-politician Arjo Atayde reacted to rumors that his wife Phenomenal Star Maine Mendoza is pregnant. Arjo and Maine tied the knot in July last year. Months before they celebrated their first wedding anniversary , rumors surfaced that the Eat Bulaga host is pregnant.
Last July, rumors also surfaced that Arjo and Maine broke up. Arjo’s mother veteran actress Sylvia Sanchez immediately debunked the breakup rumors . Arjo held a recent Thanksgiving press conference in Quezon City, where he directly ended the pregnancy rumors .
The actor said that Maine Mendoza’s absence in the longest-running noontime show was due to the fact that traveled abroad, based on the article in Bandera. “Hindi po, we went on a vacation for our first wedding anniversary,” Arjo Atayde said. He also said that he and Maine are both busy with their respective commitments and the vacation that they had for their wedding anniversary celebration was a rare opportunity.
The Quezon City’s 1st district representative shared that they are really enjoying their free time together and this is what people see because this is the only time when they could really spend time with each other. Arjo added that he and Maine have different responsibilities when they are in Manila. He also has a lot of commitments but at the end of the day, his wife is his priority.
Despite their busy schedule and some “petty tampuhan,” Arjo said that they are very happy and their journey as a married couple is nothing but great. “ We’re growing together and I’m very blessed that [my wife] is her. Masarap sa feeling na siya ang asawa ko, ” Arjo Atayde said.
The actor also said that his wife made everything easier and that she is more understanding of the demands of their jobs. He added that Maine Mendoza cares for him on a different level and he feels blessed because of this..
