Area volleyball roundup for Oct. 22: Hanson makes quick work of Freeman

ALEXANDRIA, S.D. — It was a short night on the volleyball court for Hanson as the Beavers took down Freeman in a straight-set affair on Tuesday night.

Set scores were 25-6, 25-18 and 25-19. Two Beavers led the way with big offensive performances. Kylie Haiar tallied 12 kills and four blocks, while Ava Doyle had 12 kills as well to go along with three digs.



Elsewhere for Hanson, Jazzlyn Campbell had six kills and a service ace while Jersey Kampshoff had 26 assists, eight digs and two service aces. ADVERTISEMENT For the Flyers, it was a perfectly distributed attack. Emily Mendel, Rylee Peters, Claire Loofbourrow and Cadence Hofer all had seven kills which made up the 28 team kills.

Mendel also had 12 digs and three service aces. Hanson (20-6) will travel to face Viborg-Hurley in its penultimate regular-season game on Friday, Oct. 25 while Freeman (9-15) will face Canistota on Monday, Oct.
