FARGO – North Dakota State didn’t wait around to make a statement in its last women’s basketball homestand of the season. The Bison used a decisive second quarter to put Kansas City permanently behind in a 93-67 win Thursday night at Scheels Center at Sanford Health Athletic Complex. With the victory, the Bison, who outscored the Kangaroos 24-9 in the second quarter, moved to 9-5 in the Summit League, in third place, heading to the season finale against Omaha on Saturday at 1 p.

Red River finished 12-3 in the EDC and 14-6 overall. Sheyenne dropped to 7-8 in the EDC and 7-13 overall. WEST FARGO — Grand Forks Red River prevailed in a low-scoring Eastern Dakota Conference game, the last regular-season for both teams, on Thursday.

Red River finished 12-4 in the EDC and 13-8 overall. Sheyenne is now 10-6 in the EDC and 10-11 overall. MOORHEAD — Three Moorhead Park Christian players scored in double figures in the Falcons’ win over Lake Park-Audubon in the Minnesota Section 6-A Tournament on Thursday.

Cierra Carlson led the Falcons with 21 points and she also had six rebounds. Libby Suckert had 16 points, 10 rebounds and four assists, and Ashlynn Forde scored 15 points. Annika Johnson had six points, eight rebounds and 10 assists, and Kaycee Endreson had five points, six rebounds and four assists.

The Falcons are 18-9 overall and play next in the Section 6-A Tournament at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 1, in Perham.
