AREA HOOPS: Panthers fall to Red Oak; Central beats Henderson

Lufkin dropped its final game of the Dallas Mavs Fall Classic 61-49 to Red Oak. The Panthers went 2-2 in the Classic, knocking off a pair of ranked teams in Keller and San Antonio Jefferson and falling to defending Class 6A champ Plano East and Red Oak. Lufkin (3-2) will be on the road Tuesday at A&M Consolidated.

Central boys 62, Henderson 28 — Law Shaver scored 21 points to lead Central to a 62-28 win over Henderson Friday night. Wyatt Graham scored 11 for the Bulldogs, Jake Matthews had 10, Dillan Hatcher scored eight, Landon Cloonan had five, Kaynin Page scored three, Hunter Kent had two and Pryce Weiblinger and Ethan Basham had a point each. Central (2-1) will play at Bullard on Tuesday.
