ARLINGTON - The Dallas Cowboys won't close the curtains. And they usually won't open the roof. But tonight as they host the Houston Texans on "Monday Night Football''? There won't be a sun problem.

...

but there may be a moon beam. Both of these teams have just one win in the last four weeks, and by kickoff, it'll all be about football ..

. and about how the Texans appear to be in much better shape than the Cowboys. Dallas has lost four in a row as their streak of 12-5 seasons and playoff appearances appear to be coming to an end.

What's more, the Cowboys are fresh off a miserable 34-6 home loss against the division-rival Philadelphia Eagles in their first game without quarterback Dak Prescott, who's out for the year with a hamstring injury. While the Cowboys are hosting the Texans on Monday night, that might not be a good thing. After a streak of 16 consecutive home wins, Dallas is 0-4 this season here inside AT&T Stadium.

Three of those losses have been embarrassments while the fourth wasn't as close as the three-point loss indicates. Last week, a loss to the Eagles here was marred by the "controversial'' glare of the sun through the stadium windows. .

.. with owner Jerry Jones as usual opting to not pull the curtains that are indeed available.

And tonight? Almost as if Jones has a sense of humor ...

he has ordered the roof be open - amid game-time temperatures that should be lovely at about 67 degrees - for the first time in three years. Take a look via one of the videos going viral ..

twitter.com/inTymNt6Ma As for the football? Cowboys backup quarterback Cooper Rush was 5-1 as a starter while subbing for an injured Prescott, but played poorly from the start in last week's loss to the Eagles. Rush posted just 45 yards passing and lost two fumbles.

“You’re going to get your (rear end) smacked sometimes,” Rush said. “The beauty is that it’s right back to it the next week. It’s right here right in front of you and it doesn’t really allow you to really dwell on the last game as much.
