Apple TV+ market share versus other streaming platforms According to JustWatch’s latest research, Apple TV+’s market share in the US went from 7% in the fourth quarter of 2024 to 8% in the first quarter of 2025, which covers the months of January to March.
Although Apple was right to say that more people subscribed to Apple TV+ during this period, the increase wasn’t exactly huge. Overall, the figures for the first quarter remain pretty much the same when compared to the last quarter of 2024. Amazon Prime Video and Netflix are still fighting for first and second place, while Max and Disney+ are trailing behind with a significant difference.
Another highlight of the Q1 2025 report is that both Peacock and Starz reached 2% market share each. Although Apple TV+ movies and shows have won important awards, a recent report revealed that the platform still results in money losses for the company.
