According to a recent Bloomberg newsletter, this new version is described as a compact device with a square display approximately the size of two iPhones placed side by side.
Drawing inspiration from a previous product design, the display will reportedly be positioned at an angle on a small base, reminiscent of the iMac G4's round base, which may also house speakers and other electronic components. A new operating system will be implemented, featuring applications reminiscent of iPadOS, allowing for general usage. However, the primary objective is to serve as a smart home hub.
This forthcoming second device is anticipated to be significantly more affordable than the initially speculated model, which includes a larger display mounted on a robotic arm, designed to enhance media playback and facilitate video calls.
