The Northern Youth Network on Peace (NYNP), has said the criticisms of President Bola Tinubu’s administration by the former National Vice Chairman North-west of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Salihu Lukman, were aimed at distracting Nigerians from the progress and development being witnessed in various sectors. The group also described Lukman’s criticism and assertions about the opposition’s preparedness for the 2027 elections as “baseless” and “confused interventions”. A statement signed by Comrade Adaji Ajibili on Friday in Abuja, noted that contrary to Lukman’s criticisms, President Tinubu has consistently demonstrated his commitment to the Nigerian people, evident in tangible economic reforms and infrastructural development.

He said: “The Northern Youth Network on Peace has noted with concern, the increasingly farcical interventions of the itinerant politician and a former National Vice Chairman of the APC, Dr Salihu Lukman. “Things have got to a point where Nigerians should no longer take Lukman seriously as those who still see substance in his statements on national matters do so at their peril, especially given his latest intervention tutoring the opposition on how to conduct their affairs..
