Rupali Ganguly-led Anupamaa recently underwent a 15-year-leap post which several characters and actors made an exit while others joined in. Among them was Alisha Parveen who has entered the TRP topping TV soap as the new Aadhya. In a new interview, the actress acknowledges the mixed reactions from the audience regarding the new cast members.

"Something clicked for me" “Yes, I feel absolutely great, and I never thought I would ever become a part of such a show, but it just happened. Something clicked for me, and it suddenly happened. And yes, it’s the number one show in India, so everyone would want to be a part of a show that the whole country loves.

So I really don’t know how to express my gratitude. I try my best to do justice to my character so that people connect with me even more, that people love my character even more,” Alisha Parveen tells ETimes. On receiving mixed reactions Alisha says, “Whenever something new comes into the market, people talk about it.

It’s up to them whether they say good things or bad things. So, there will always be mixed reactions — like a fifty-fifty split, with both good and bad. So, I feel that up until now, we've mostly heard positive things.

But, again, it does take some people time to accept change because people are so deeply connected with certain characters. When sudden changes happen or new things come along, it can take a little time for them to adjust. For those who have accepted it, thank you from the bottom of my heart”.

'I'm fulfilling my mother's dream' Alisha concludes, “I am an actor, and ever since I was 9 or 10 years old, I have been acting. This is all I know; I don’t know anything else. I honestly don’t know—if I weren’t an actor, I might have been nothing.

So, yes, my biggest craving is to fulfill my hunger for acting. Coming from a very middle-class family, I’ve faced a lot of struggles in life, and my motivation is to go far someday and fulfill my mother’s dream. And becoming an actor was her dream, too.

So—she’s my motivation. I’ve seen a lot of struggles, and I know that one day, all of that hard work will pay off. That’s my motivation.

And my craving? It’s just to act every day. That's all." Get Latest News Live on Times Now along with Breaking News and Top Headlines from TV, Entertainment News and around the world.
