Anum Nawaz praised for winning 100m sprint

MUZAFFARGARH - Punjab Parliamentary Secretary for Higher Education, MPA Muhammad Ajmal Khan Chandia, on Wednesday commended first-year student Anum Nawaz for securing first position in the 100-metre sprint at the Punjab Sports Contest, organised by the Higher Education Department.

Chandia praised the exceptional performance of the young athlete from Government Graduate College for Women, Muzaffargarh, and presented her with a prize on behalf of Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat Khan, according to an official statement. “Youngsters from Muzaffargarh have consistently brought pride to the city across various fields, and our girls are no exception,” he said.

“Their achievements are not only making a mark at the provincial level but also earning recognition nationally.” He further highlighted that sports infrastructure, including playgrounds and other facilities, is being upgraded under the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, and the results are already becoming evident. “More emerging talent will continue to shine in the near future,” he added.
