Pune: Recalling Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's struggle against enemies to establish ' Swarajya ', RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said that 'anti-India' powers are trying to derail India from the path of development and the country needs to derive inspiration from the Maratha warrior to tackle these challenges. Bhagwat added that these attacks are without us realising them. "They are economical, spiritual and political carried out to derail our nation as anti-India forces are threatened by our growing stature," the RSS chief said.

He was in Pune where he launched a book titled ' Tanjavarche Marathe ' (Marathas of Thanjavur) by Milind Paradkar. He said, "Our nation has a great history of sacrifices in defending the land from invaders and Shivaji Maharaj is a prime example. When he successfully evaded the clutches of (Mughal emperor} Aurangzeb, it underlined the fact that 'Swarajya' was here to stay.

We must learn from him to fight today's invasion of our nation." Bhagwat said that such forces will fail as the country has a strong base to tackle such attacks. "Shivaji Maharaj faced the same situation but he tackled challenges with the help of 'Dharma'.

We will have to derive inspiration from our rich history and use 'Dharma' to defend our nation," he said..
