Another morning of chaos on the railway network due to the penultimate day of strike called by the members of minority unions. This Tuesday, train drivers are holding 24-hour strikes to protest the transfer of Cercanías (local trains) and what they consider a "dismemberment" of the public company Renfe. The protests are having a strong impact on the thousands of train users.
This morning, for example, Renfe reported that all service on line R7 was suspended due to the protests. Renfe is diverting passengers to the R4 line to cover the section between Fabra y Puig and Cerdanyola. It has also provided a bus service and is also guiding some passengers to the FGC services.
Users have also explained on social media that several trains did not run at all, as is customary on days of protest. Several commuter trains and some AVE trains have been missed, as they have not arrived on their usual schedule. [We are working to expand this information].
