Another morning of complications for commuters. Two separate incidents, one in Castellbisbal and the other at Fabra i Puig station in Barcelona, are disrupting traffic on up to four different lines. , R4, R7 and R8.

On the one hand, the first breakdown reported was at Castellbisbal, specifically at the station. This incident forces trains to run on a single track on the R4 between this station and Molins de Rei. Furthermore, it has also meant that, from the early hours, only two trains per hour in each direction will run between Sant Vicenç de Calders and Hospitalet de Llobregat.

The same breakdown means that trains on the R8 also run on a single track through Castellbisbal station and may cause knock-on effects on the R7. A few minutes after this first infrastructure problem, the train operator, Renfe, reported another incident, this time at Fabra i Puig station. This second problem means that trains on the R3, R4 and R7 may remain stopped or run more slowly as they approach the affected section.

The infrastructure manager, Adif, assures that there are already company technicians on the ground to resolve the problems. The breakdowns this April come after In the 31 days of the last month, the commuter train system accumulated more than seventy breakdowns, which, according to Transport Minister Óscar Puente, will make March a month "difficult to beat.".
