Foggy conditions and cloudy skies will persist Thursday throughout the region. The fog won't be dense for most, but will still lead to visibility reductions and a slick spot or two with temperatures below freezing in the morning. Through the day, like the past few, the fog will give way to mostly cloudy skies and temperatures hovering around freezing by the afternoon.
Thursday night is when we will deviate from the monotonous fog from the past few days, as there will be a chance of rain late at night. Then light and steady rain will continue for much of the Northland on Friday. Temperatures will remain in the 30s, and the showers will carry on into a similar day on Saturday.
ADVERTISEMENT By the end of the weekend, much of the region will dry out. However, that will eventually come with a cooldown, dropping into the 20s to wrap up 2024 next week. Temperatures will continue to slowly fall through the first week in 2025.
