Another clash over petty dispute at civil hospital

Times News Network Ludhiana: Another incident of violence was reported from the civil hospital, where some men allegedly attacked a youth with shoes. They also slapped him in the emergency ward on Wednesday night. The incident took place at around 11.

30pm, when 10 to 12 persons allegedly attacked a person who came to get injuries sustained during a clash in Haibowal, treated. According to reports, the ASI, constable and security guards posted in the emergency ward of the hospital tried to mediate but the assailants did not relent. The accused alleged that the man attacked their family members and injured six persons, including three women, after which he went to the hospital for medical treatment.



Lalit Mohan, a resident of Haibowal Bank Colony, said that on Wednesday evening, his son was parking his car outside the house when a flower pot from a neighbour’s windowsill fell down. He claimed that the woman living in the house abused him and the family members attached him when he went to talk to her after work at around 10pm. He claimed that when he went to the emergency ward of the civil hospital at 11.

30pm for treatment, members of the other party, who were already present in the ward, attacked him. On the intervening night of Nov 2 and 3, two such incidents were reported at the civil hospital.
