Another akhara makes grand entry at Maha Kumbh campus in Prayagraj

The remaining 10 akharas are arriving at Maha Kumbh’s sector 20 camp. Shri Shambu Panch Atal akhara's Chaavani Pravesh Yatra took place, featuring seers, Mahamandaleshwars, Naga sadhus, and devotion-filled processions. Upcoming arrivals include Mahanirvani on Jan 2 and the three Panch Ani akharas on Jan 5. Locals viewed the celebratory parade filled with spirituality and excitement.

PRAYAGRAJ: As the date for the commencement of the formal start of Maha Kumbh draws near, the remaining 10 akharas (of the total of 13) have started arriving at their 'Chhavani' (camps) at sector number 20 of mela. On Wednesday, Shri Shambu Panch Atal akhara took out its Chaavani Pravesh Yatra (also called Peshwai) from Daraganj. As a number of seers, Mahamandaleshwars and Acharya Mahamandaleshwar, along with Naga sadhus, participated in the procession, a stream of devotion and spirituality flowed along the entire route.

The remaining nine akharas will be arriving at the mela area soon. Mahanirvani akhara will be taking out its Chhavani Pravesh on Jan 2, Niranjani on Jan 5 and the three Panch Ani akhara (Nirmohi, Digambar, and Nirvani) will enter the mela area on Jan 5. On Wednesday, the procession of Atal akhara commenced amid chanting of Vedic mantras, the sound of conch shells and the beat of damrus, while DJs and bands played tunes of popular Hindi bhajans.
