Animals and staff evacuated due to Pets At Home fire

Emergency services were called to a fire at a Pets At Home.

Animals and staff had to be evacuated when fire broke out at a pet shop. Firefighters were called to Pets At Home in Lottbridge Drove in Eastbourne at about 4.30pm yesterday.

East Sussex Fire and Rescue said pallets and a waste bin were on fire in the loading area at the back of the store. The animals and staff were safely evacuated from the building. The shop said they were all safe and well.
