Angry Birds is set to celebrate its 15th anniversary with a swathe of in-game events

Whatever you may think it, alongside Clash of Clans it came to define mobile gaming, and Rovio is still one of the biggest developers out there to this day. Little surprise then that they're set to mark the latest milestone of an enormous fifteen years with a new swathe of events.This month you can jump into Angry Birds 2, Angry Birds Friends and Angry Birds Dream Blasts for some celebratory rewards and goodies. However, it's not just in-game that Rovio is celebrating. There's a whole host of collaborations with artists, exclusive comics, a celebratory livestream and a street interview in Helsinki still to come! And that's alongside the Times Square billboard in New York celebrating the anniversary since January. Again, while it may be a little bit grandiose for something where you launch birds at pigs, I don't think anyone would argue that Angry Birds hasn't ballooned into a massive success for Rovio.

I mean, this is one of the few mobile games I can think of that has managed to launch a successful Hollywood film franchise and even caught the eye of Sega, who acquired Rovio seemingly specifically to help boost their own mascot back into the mobile spotlight.
