Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark and Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese were instrumental in the WNBA reaching new heights this season, with their popularity continuing to soar and reaching a broader fanbase. They brought their heated rivalry in college to the big league, which added spice to the WNBA. Their fans have been passionate to a fault, but Clark and Reese have never insulted each other despite their fiery matchup.
While Reese has taken subtle jabs against Clark now and then, it's simply part of maintaining her competitive edge. The respect is still there for the two superstar rookies. On the latest episode of her "Unapologetically Angel" podcast, the 22-year-old Reese discussed with his guest, Funny Marco, the top outside sniper in the WNBA, and the Sky star didn't hesitate to name Clark.
Brad Penner-Imagn Images "Let me see, who you feel like is the best three-point shooter in the WNBA?" asked the comedian. "Between Caitlin, Diana Taurasi, um, who would say? Sabrina (Ionescu)?" replied Reese. "Yeah, between those three.
" Curiously, Funny Marco didn't pick any of them. He instead veered off and mentioned Jewell Loyd, suggesting that the Seattle Storm star should join Reese on the Sky. "You're just a GM (general manager), you know it all," said Reese with a laugh.
The 22-year-old Clark led the WNBA in three-pointers made this season with 122—the most by any rookie in history. She was followed by Arike Ogunbowale with 112 and Kelsey Plum with 110. Kelsey Mitchell and Ionescu rounded out the top five with 109 and 107, respectively.
Taurasi was No. 9 with 86. In terms of three-point accuracy, Clark shot 34.
4%, while both Ionescu and Taurasi shot 33.3%. Related: Angel Reese Takes Action Against Caitlin Clark-Related Account Related: Caitlin Clark's Agent Points Out 'Reality' in Negotiating Her Deals.
