The OTP-less login verifies the user’s registered mobile number directly via their SIM card. This helps eliminate common vulnerabilities like SIM swap frauds, OTP theft, and phishing attacks, Angel One said.

Angel One has rolled out an OTP-less login feature for its trading application on Android devices running version 13 and above. Powered by SIM binding technology, the feature enables secure access to trading accounts without manual OTP entry, the brokerage firm said in a note. The OTP-less login verifies the user’s registered mobile number directly via their SIM card.

This helps eliminate common vulnerabilities like SIM swap frauds, OTP theft, and phishing attacks, Angel One said. The feature serves as a “possession factor” in Angel One’s two-factor authentication framework, ensuring that account access is restricted to devices genuinely linked to the registered mobile number. This security enhancement is in line with SEBI’s push for stronger safeguards across trading and demat platforms.

In addition to the new login mechanism, Angel One continues to strengthen its tech-driven offerings: Automatically exits open F&O and intraday positions upon reaching preset profit or loss levels. Moves the stop loss upward with market gains, helping secure profits. Allows users to trade options directly from index charts with integrated stop loss and target settings.

Aim to improve execution during volatile conditions and streamline multi-trade strategies. The broker has also integrated DigiLocker for document verification, enabling paperless account operations. “We’re building a platform where innovation meets purpose—making trading smarter and safer,” said Ankit Rastogi, Chief Product Officer, Angel One.
