How many times have you faced delay notifications across different Android devices running on the same account? Well, Android 15 could finally get rid of that issue and give users iPhone-like notifications sync across devices. What this means is that if you dismiss app notifications on your main device then Android 15 will take care of the alerts popping up on the secondary and tertiary device you are using with the same Google account. The details about the upcoming feature come via tipster Mishaal Rahman, who has spotted the evidence of this support in Android 15 QPR Beta 1 version.

It might not sound like a big deal to most of you but it is puzzling why Google has never tried to make this happen earlier. Apple users have used this support for years and this is where a tight ecosystem integration shows its worth. Google is building its own these days but the open-source nature of Android means it cannot control how the other partners build their platforms to run within their own ecosystem.

The good news about the cross-device notification sync will only come through if Android 15 does get the feature from day one. Android 15 update is running late this year, especially now that the Pixel 9 series is already out in the market and the reviews of the full lineup is rolling out as we speak. The new Android 15 promises incremental changes and more privacy-focused tools in play for the users.

We’re just hoping that Android 15 adds some basic features as well, like the notification syncing which will be understated but very useful to millions of Android users. The Pixel 9 models have launched with Android 14 this year, as the Android 15 beta cycle usually wraps up by early October. Google’s advanced plan to launch the Pixel 9 series has worked against this schedule but even then you get a slew of AI feature baked into the new Pixel devices.
