Visakhapatnam: Angry with her husband, a young woman poisoned her two daughters first and then consumed the substance herself at Tagarapuvalasa locality under Bheemili police station limits in Vizag city on Friday. While the mother and her younger daughter died on Saturday, the elder girl is undergoing treatment at a private hospital. The deceased were identified as M.
Madhavi, 26 and M Ritiksha, 18 months. The elder child, 5, is under treatment. Madhavi, a native of Srikakulam district, married M Ramakrishna, an employee with Divi’s Laboratories in Bheemili locality in Vizag city, in 2019.
The police said the couple had been living with their daughters at Adarshnagar in Tagarapuvalasa. The woman had an argument with her husband on Friday and took the extreme step after feeding poison to her daughters. The trio were shifted to a private hospital in Tagarapuvalasa and later, shifted to a corporate hospital in Vizag city where two breathed their last.
