Vijayawada: The Vijayawada City Task Force and Law & Order teams arrested 12 individuals and seized 23 kilograms of ganja. Task Force ADCP A. Srinivasa Rao stated that nine arrests were made under Governorpet Police Station cases, two under Gunadala Police Station, and one under Satyanarayanapuram Police Station.
The accused had prior arrests and continued their illegal activities, procuring ganja from tribal areas near the Andhra-Odisha border and reselling it in Vijayawada. A major seizure of 21 kg was made near Hanumanpet Park, with smaller quantities confiscated from other locations.
