A DRINK-DRIVER was almost three times over the limit when driving dangerously through Ammanford. Clement Pavey, 59, of Lower Brynamman, appeared at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court charged with three offences. Pavey was alleged to have been driving a Dacia Duster dangerously in Ammanford on November 29.
When breathalysed, Pavey recorded having 102 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35. The court heard that Pavey was also in possession of a locking pen knife without good reason or lawful authority in public in Ammanford on that date.
The defendant pleaded guilty to all charges when the case came before the court on December 2. Pavey was granted bail and handed an interim disqualification, and the case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be prepared. The defendant will return to court on December 23.
