Amite man arrested for child pornography

HAMMOND — Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force has arrested a man from Amite in its latest operation. Dustin Stevenson, 28, has been booked on five counts of pornography involving juveniles and four unrelated outstanding warrants. Late last month, the TPSO ICAC Unit started investigating the uploading of pornography involving juveniles onto social media.

Detectives were able to identify Stevenson, who was living in Hammond at the time, as the person uploading the material, TPSO said. He was taken into custody Monday, April 7, along with multiple electronic devices. Additional charges may be forthcoming as the devices seized are analyzed.



This activity is part of TPSO’s partnership with Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Office and their ICAC Task Force which includes a collaboration with numerous local law enforcement agencies..
