Amitabh Bachchan Recalls Rajinikanth Sleeping On Floor During Breaks; 'I Used To Rest In My AC Vehicle'

Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan recently showered praise on his long-time friend and co-star, Rajinikanth , referring to him as the "supreme of all stars." The heartfelt compliment was part of a special message sent by Bachchan for the event celebrating their upcoming film Vettaiyan. This marks the actors’ reunion on the big screen after 33 years.

Although Bachchan was unable to attend the event in Chennai, he made his presence felt with a video message that was played during the gathering. Reflecting on their past collaborations, Bachchan shared a memorable anecdote from the sets of their 1991 film Hum. "I used to rest in my AC vehicle while shooting for Hum, and Rajini slept on the floor during breaks. Watching him be so simple, I came out of the vehicle and rested outside," he reportedly said. Bachchan also expressed his excitement and honor in making his debut in Tamil cinema with Vettaiyan. Directed by TJ Gnanavel, known for his critically acclaimed legal drama Jai Bhim, Vettaiyan is anticipated to be a significant project for both the actors and the Tamil film industry. The cast of the film, which is set for release on October 10, includes Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, and VJ Rakshan.
